FANCY Buttons @ Paddington

Recently I was lucky enough to be invited to a showcase of the humble button. The gorgeous staff at the Paddington Antique Centre, along with with some fantastic artists put together a night showcasing the 'multiple lives' of buttons.

Various items were made using buttons, some of the items on show and for sale included; gorgeous jewellery both classic and contemporary, head pieces, cushions, drawer handles, clothes, and lamp shades just to name a few.

It really was a great night and I bought the most gorgeous Czech Glass Button which I hope my newly skilled husband will make into a ring for me using sterling silver. I took along my friend Jane who is the designer behind the Jewellery brand Fuschia Designs. I also ran into Sophie from Strat Designs (a fellow Boutique Market stall holder). Sophie had created some gorgeous pieces for the showcase. They really were a hit.

Hope you enjoy the piccies I took .... on my i phone.... because my camera was flat!!

MARKETS!

Boutique Market in September saw a few keen shoppers brave the grey skies. I still had a great day catching up with fellow stall holders and returning customers. My marquee display has been a work in progress which is evolving month by month. I can now say that I have it looking just about how I imagined it to be, and thank you to all the wonderful feedback on my display. Its a long process putting it together but worth it in the end. Have to set the alarm that bit earlier too!
Thanks Rachel for these great photos.
PS - Dad is doing quite well. He seems to get stronger every day.

ALSO.... Got to love these two cuties. Riley and Charlotte are Christine's (Little Diva) daughters. They were very proud of their 'Petite Fleurs' which they received on Sunday. Looking great girls!

In the PRESS!

SHOP GIRL MAG

Been off the radar for a while.... my dad is not well and its been a long few weeks. He is still in hospital and we are all being positive that he will improve very soon. Back on the day he first got sick, SHOP GIRL mag hit the shelves.... with a little Evie Rose feature. I was quite excited to read that my 'Petite Fleurs' were under a heading that said - RETAIL THERAPY 'What to rush out and buy the girl in your life!'
For those that don't know, Shop Girl is a magazine aimed at mums of TWEENS! Its a wonderfully presented magazine with heaps of beautiful ideas for girls of this age group.
Got to love a bit of publicity!

I am Online.... I think!

My Evie Rose Journey has been a wonderful one so far..... I have enjoyed every moment of getting this little concept up and running.... well to be honest there were some moments when I thought it was too hard, but I suppose we all have days like that. Thanks to my mum for giving me the inspiration to start creating gorgeous accessories. For as long as I can remember my mum has been 'making things'. There are just too many projects to mention!
Evie Rose the website and online shop has been very challenging but with the help of my brothers I have got that up and running. Thanks Dave and Steve.
My market experience has been great. I have met many talented people at both the Boutique Markets at Portside and Mathildas Market at Town Hall. Both fellow stall holders and the public have truly been wonderful to meet and talk too. The feedback towards my wares has been so overwhelming. A special mention must go to Christine from Little Diva who is my neighbour at the Boutique Markets... as well as my 'go to' person if I have any questions about anything!!!
You should check out her gorgeous handmade items if you haven't already.

Christine is also the one that said that I should get around to doing a blog.... She also said that its funny how you find time to do posts.... HMMMM I am not sure about this yet but I must admit I am a little excited that I finally have got around to actually doing an official blog rather than just using my News page on my website.
Anyway I think thats it for my first post.. Got to attend to other things!
