Recently I was lucky enough to be invited to a showcase of the humble button. The gorgeous staff at the Paddington Antique Centre, along with with some fantastic artists put together a night showcasing the 'multiple lives' of buttons.
Various items were made using buttons, some of the items on show and for sale included; gorgeous jewellery both classic and contemporary, head pieces, cushions, drawer handles, clothes, and lamp shades just to name a few.

It really was a great night and I bought the most gorgeous Czech Glass Button which I hope my newly skilled husband will make into a ring for me using sterling silver. I took along my friend Jane who is the designer behind the Jewellery brand Fuschia Designs. I also ran into Sophie from Strat Designs (a fellow Boutique Market stall holder). Sophie had created some gorgeous pieces for the showcase. They really were a hit.
Hope you enjoy the piccies I took .... on my i phone.... because my camera was flat!!
